About the Practice:
Dr. O'Neil is a psychiatrist in private practice in Newton, Massachusetts. She treats adolescents and adults with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, adjustment disorders and relationship difficulties. Dr. O'Neil provides consultation, diagnostic evaluations and ongoing care (psychotherapy and/or psychopharmacology) to teens and parents and adults. She is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT) and mindfulness practice. She incorporates all three modalities into her work.
Medical Training:
Dr. O'Neil received her medical training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland. Her post-graduate medical training included one year of internal medicine internship followed by three years of adult psychiatry residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital, teaching affiliates of the Harvard Medical School. She completed subspecialty training in child and adolescent psychiatry, also at the MGH/McLean program. She is Board Certified in General Psychiatry.
